Expect positive messages for the mind as well as great physical work-outs for the body at Raise the Bars, the female friendly Rugby gym and fitness studio which welcomes everyone plus their children.
There’s no joining fee, no contract and the competitively priced membership fees give unlimited access to training facilities and fitness classes including Zumba, Boxercise and circuit training. Kids can join in training from the age of eight and there’s a ‘Baby Corner’ for younger children while their new parents get back in shape.
Raise the Bars is the dream gym of Tracy McLaren, a mum of two who devoted herself to fitness after experiencing ‘burnout’ in a stressful sales job. Her training included bikini bodybuilding, Zumba and spin classes and she worked in other local gyms before setting up her own to deliver fitness training with a difference.
“I do a lot of mind, body and soul work,” she says. “It’s about creating a positive environment and building people’s strength on the inside as well as outside. I love helping people grow and exceed their expectations.
“One member was in such a bad place, mentally, she wouldn’t leave the house. She came to me hoping to change. Now has such confidence she’s travelled across the world to Australia.”
Tracy’s well equipped gym is just off Rugby town centre.
