Top quality meat and meat products are available to buy straight from the family farm of GR Ingham at Osbaston, in the Leicestershire countryside near Market Bosworth.
Ingham’s are a long established family of farmers, who added butchery and catering three years ago. They produce and butcher their own beef, pork and lamb, keep a flock of free range hens for their eggs and sell from their farm shop near The Gate Inn on the A447.
As well as raw meat they sell a range of tasty products such as sausages, pies and pastries which are homemade on the premises.
Cockerels and turkeys are ready to order now for Christmas and other products on sale year-round include Sparkenhoe cheeses and Dreamy Cow ice cream, all locally sourced.
Ingham’s can also cater for any event in the locality, including celebrations, funerals and bonfire parties.
The late Tony Ingham started farming at Gnarley Farm in 1963. Now Tony’s son Gavin is at the helm with his wife, Meg, heading up the cookery and catering team. Gavin’s son, Sam, has just joined the business after finishing university and daughter Alex, still at school, helps out.
Gavin says: “We farm as near to naturally as we can and I personally select everything we sell in the shop, so we know it’s all good quality.”
